Mike Hardin, the district attorney for Moore and Hoke counties, is involved in a legal battle with his wife, who has accused him of erratic behavior.
She claims in court papers that her husband’s behavior has been so threatening that she slept in a separate bedroom with her cellphone and car keys, and has said she fears he will try to prevent her from seeing their preteen son.
In an interview, the district attorney denied all the allegations, accusing his wife of making false claims in public documents.
Michael Hewlett reports on the situation, which comes as Hardin is running unopposed for a second term.
