Purpose
Sponsored content allows businesses, institutions, and organizations to reach The Assembly Network’s audience by sharing their perspectives and key messages while maintaining our full editorial independence.

Principles of Editorial Independence
The opinions, ideas, and points of view expressed in sponsored content do not represent those of The Assembly Network, its editorial staff, or affiliated publications.

  • Sponsors have no influence over The Assembly Network’s independent journalism or editorial decision-making.
  • The Assembly Network’s editorial team plays no role in the creation or review of sponsored content, though editorial leadership may be consulted on a limited basis to ensure that sponsored content meets our standards.

Transparency and Labeling
Paid posts are clearly labeled as “Sponsored Content” to ensure full transparency with our audience. Labels appear prominently wherever the content appears—online, in newsletters, and at events. The layout of sponsored content across The Assembly Network websites and newsletters is also distinct, with multiple visual and text cues to distinguish it from editorial content.

Advocacy and Political Content
Sponsored content that promotes advocacy efforts, issue-based campaigns, political points of view, or specific candidates is subject to additional review and disclosure. To ensure clarity and transparency for readers, The Assembly Network will denote such pieces as “sponsored content” at the top of the story.
